Terms of service

Equity Market terms of service

Effective 2026-08-03 · Version 1

These terms govern your use of the Equity Market platform. By accessing the site, creating an account, or using any material on the platform, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Important information

Equity Market is Jack Hunter's trade name for information about Canadian private-market real estate and alternative investments. It publishes research, opportunity information and preliminary tools; it does not itself sell securities.

This site is for information and education. It is not an offer or a prospectus, and it is not investment, legal, or tax advice. Browsing it does not establish your eligibility or suitability and does not complete a transaction.

Private-market securities are speculative and illiquid. You may lose some or all of your investment, and targets are not guaranteed.

1. The platform and who operates it

Equity Market is an information platform offering research, account management, interest records, and human-assisted review for Canadian private real estate and alternative investment opportunities. Jack Hunter is the person behind it.

In these terms, “the platform” means all pages, account areas, tools, and materials served on the equitymarket.io domain.

2. Not an offer, and not investment advice

Nothing on the platform is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy securities, and nothing on it is a prospectus. Nothing on the platform constitutes investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and nothing is presented as a recommendation tailored to you.

Using the platform does not create an advisory, agency, or fiduciary relationship between you and Equity Market. You should base investment decisions on your own independent assessment and on your own professional advisers.

Private-market investments are risky. You can lose the whole of your capital, these investments are illiquid, and they cannot readily be sold.

3. Accounts and account security

To create an account you must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction and must give accurate, current information. You may create an account with an email address and password, or through a third-party identity provider such as Google.

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address, and basic profile information from Google. The security of your Google account is governed by your agreement with Google.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you become aware of unauthorised use.

We may suspend or close an account where we consider these terms to have been breached or the account to have been misused.

4. Eligibility, suitability, and investor status

Opening an account, answering profile questions, or recording interest in an investment does not establish accredited-investor status, entitlement to an exemption, a suitability determination, permission to invest, or a completed transaction.

Decisions that require registration under securities law are made outside this platform, under the applicable offering documents.

5. Published material and targets

Published investment pages are treated as controlled offering material, and each version is approved with its sources, effective date, author, reviewer, and compliance owner. Material may be updated or withdrawn without notice, and withdrawn content is removed from public view.

Target returns, projections, and forward-looking statements are not guarantees. Past performance does not indicate future results.

We present information obtained from third parties in good faith but do not warrant that it is accurate or complete.

6. Türkiye and cross-border access

Access by residents of Türkiye, and any further activity, is subject to separate jurisdictional review. No Turkish registration or authorisation is represented or implied.

You are responsible for using the platform in a way that complies with the law of your own country.

7. Acceptable use

You may use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

You must not scrape or bulk-copy the platform with automated tools, reverse-engineer it, attempt to defeat its security, access another person's account without authorisation, republish material without permission, or use the platform in a way that harms others.

8. Intellectual property

The text, design, graphics, data, and software on the platform belong to Equity Market or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable right to use the platform for your own personal, non-commercial evaluation. All other rights are reserved.

9. Personal data

We process your account details, interest records, and data about your use of the platform in order to provide the service and to meet our legal obligations.

What we process and why is described in the privacy policy, linked below.

10. Third-party services

The platform relies on third-party services for authentication, analytics, live support, and email delivery. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; the privacy policy has the detail.

Links from the platform to third-party sites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.

11. Availability and disclaimer of warranties

The platform is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Equity Market is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for investment losses arising from use of the platform.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Where a change is substantive, the effective date and version number are updated.

Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.

The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms. This does not affect mandatory consumer rights available to you under the law of your own country.

15. Contact

Important information about this site

This site is for information and education. It is not an offer, a prospectus, a subscription, or a completed transaction, and it is not investment, legal, or tax advice. No securities registration is claimed here, and nothing on this site should be read as one.

Portal information, preliminary classifications, and interest records do not establish investor eligibility or suitability. Applicable offering documents govern each investment opportunity, and any investment would be arranged only through a party permitted to arrange it in the relevant jurisdiction.
